Transition to a Safe Climate Conference: building on progress in Banyule

The Transition to a Safe Climate Conference is back for another year on Sunday 26 May 2019 in Macleod!

Hosted by the Network of Transition Groups of Banyule, the day will include:

  • A keynote presentation by Julian Burnside, renowned human rights and climate change advocate;
  • A keynote presentation by Dr. Benjamin Habib on designing better human systems using Permaculture;
  • 2 workshops by Cecilia Macaulay that address decluttering our lives and creating harmony by using permaculture ecosystem thinking;
  • Panel discussions with local people about progress that has happened over the last year, and where we might go during the next;
  • A series of workshops that will empower us with the skills and motivation to act locally for global change; and
  • A Celebration Cake, to mark the 10 year anniversary of Transition in Banyule!

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are all included in the ticket price.  We are aiming to have a waste free event, so if everyone could please BYO bowl/plate/cutlery/mug it would be much appreciated.
