Red-Veined Sorrel – a great addition to your garden, if you want a visually striking and tasty salad

by Megan Cassidy

If you’re looking for some different ‘greens’ for your meals that you can grow yourself, take a look at red-veined sorrel. A lemony flavour makes it a tasty, and visually appealing, addition to any salad.

It’s easy to grow yourself, and lasts throughout winter, when many other plants are not producing.

This is the second plant profile done in conjunction with Local Food Connect. The first on cape gooseberries is available here.
