Friday April 12th, 7.30 -9.30pm
Parish Hall, St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 86 Mayona Road, Montmorency
As the election approaches, voters are increasingly confused about policy promises and disturbed about issues they see being ignored.
In Jagajaga, a public meeting with the candidates, will be focusing on four policy areas:
· Climate Change.
· Indigenous Australians
· Asylum Seekers and Refugees and
· Foreign Aid
Nine local groups are joining in organising the meeting and have invited the three major party candidates. Kate Thwaites, candidate for the Australian Labor Party and Paul Kennedy, for The Greens, have accepted. The Liberal Party candidate is still to be confirmed.
