2040 is a hybrid feature documentary that looks to the future, but is vitally important NOW!

Award-winning director Damon Gameau (That Sugar Film) embarks on journey to explore what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream.

Structured as a visual letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary with dramatised sequences and high-end visual effects to create a vision board of how these solutions could regenerate the world for future generations.

Come along at 6.30pm for a relaxed start to the evening, with local Mala Plymin who will take you on her journey towards a sustainable lifestyle in the suburbs.  Have you wondered where to start? Or what changes, big and small, easy and hard, you can you make to reduce your carbon footprint? Mala and Asha will have some options for you that have worked well for them.

Then after the screening, we have local biologist and science/nature writer and photographer, Tess Holderness, to take your questions about the making of the film, and to tell you about some of the film’s resources that are available should you wish to keep the positive momentum going! What’s your 2040?

So get your tickets now to make sure you don’t miss this opportunity to watch 2040 in Greensborough!
